About this deal

The pepper, bergamot, musk, moss, vetiver, and patchouli do a wonderful job of keeping the sweetness of the mulberry and florals from dominating everything. I also have never been a fan of the other versions of goldea, yet I gave it a try and I'm glad I did so! I believe it needed to slow its pace down a bit because it gave me the feeling that it was not that well-blended as every note did not seem in harmony with the others. It works really nice in this cold weather so not sure about warmer seasons other than night's maybe.

The most I can say is that it opens with a timid cloud of soft florals and bergamot, before immediately losing momentum.

I bought a large decant and panicked when I saw it was discontinued and on clearance so I jumped at a large full bottle. It isn't too much of a night time scent, despite the dark bottle, smells easy-going enough to wear it at daytime. Goldea the Roman Night Absolute evokes the frantic desire to live a passionate night in the Eternal City: Rome.

I can imagine a beautiful and fashion oriented Mediterranean woman in her 40s, aware of her sexuality, but also quite a conventionally attractive one, wearing this.

I use more pumps than normal, but still, if I don’t put my wrist right under my nose I can’t detect a thing. This is why Jo Malone and Tokyo Milk are so amazing, they actually think and care about what they are creating.

Now about the fragrance, Goldea is an amazing white flower fragrance and its downfall is only weak performance, it doesn't last long enough. If you wore Gucci Rush and now you’re in your 30s, this is what to wear for ladies night or wine tasting. It absolutely cannot be worn in warmer climates as it can become exceedingly smothering and overpowering. I feel like it's something you smell with a lot of perfumes, just that fruity clean-ish smell with some floral scents. The drydown is a floral potpourri, with jasmine and tuberose present at first, then complemented by a light Amgen rose leaf component, as well as peonies and whiffs of oleander. Interestingly the sample I got was so much more stronger and intense - the juice was quite thick, almost viscous - but the EDP in the full bottle isn't the same. It's faded quite a bit within an hour, and I have to get my nose right up on my arm to smell what's left of the fragrance. Now, as far as my experience with The Roman Night Absolute goes, it starts off with intense and sharp orange blossoms that are adamant and piercing, which, to me, was not the best way to start given the fact that I don’t favor orange blossoms as an initial accord to start the blend with. Goldea The Roman Night is modern sophisticated pleasant subtle stunnig fresh unique and unforgettable.

Undeniably beautiful sensual creation, one of the best recent releases on the sweet/musky side, yet. Even though the note profile is somewhat different, it is in the same dark vein, so if you like that fragrance, you might like this too. This is not bad, i like it more than the original Roman Night, but i have a weird feeling about this perfume, i feel like it had something important to say, but didn‘t had the courage to finish delivering the message. It disappears so quickly that it doesn’t even have a chance to develop before it evaporates to nothing.Goldea The Roman Night has the vibe of Jasmin Noir with deep, dense, dark rose, jasmine, tuberose, patchouli. It starts out a little disappointing - the initial hit of mulberry smells a bit like other fruity frags on me, but I am so glad I kept sniffing! By signing up you agree with this and confirm that you are over 13 years of age, or have the consent of a parent or guardian. I think this is best for cooler spring, fall and maybe winter (unlike the "regular" Goldea - Roman Nights, which I like for warmer times.
