instead of shifting the reverb tail up an octave to get the shimmer effect (like most (all) shimmer pedals) it pitches the inbound notes up a 5th. Room mode offers a range of natural room reverbs from a small room to a hall while the ShimVerb's Spring mode simulates a classic spring reverb with a '60s 'surf-rock' vibe. SBtray catches any drips that happen when playing, so they can be disposed of safely and don’t leave annoying water marks on your instrument and clothes.

Mooer is renowned for their popular, compact Micro Series effects pedals which take up very little room on your pedal board. For my purposes this pedal with is CLEAN room and spring reverbs, (profoundly clear room reverb - better than my amps and even my zoom multistomp g50, but the coolest thing for me is the Shimmer verb effect- this pedal has a unique '5th harmonic up' is sort of jangles and shimmers mysteriously up there.

It can—indeed—take the place of the reverb that's supposed to be in my amp (I prefer using lightweight tube amps these days, so my heavy, built-in-reverb models are sitting in my attic). The Shimverb is part of Mooer’s micro-pedal series which means that, unlike other effects pedals, this model won’t take up much room on your pedal board.

Sound quality wise, a Polara or similar are a little better, but this pedal is still good sounding has many options of verb types, and eq/verb parameter options, plus the shimmer function is quite changeable. Please note the all Mooer micro series pedals must be powered by 9V DC (not supplied) as they are too small for battery compartments! But, hey, all I wanted was a tiny pedal to sit on top of my reverb-free Supro and/or Marshall tube amps for practicing, rehearsing and gigging (country band only).
